West Wodonga Medical Clinic - Consumer Reference Group
In 2006 The West Wodonga Medical Clinic working with BDGP, moved to establish a reference group to allow clients to participate individually and collectively in the planning and delivery of their health care, especially within the West Wodonga Medical Clinic.
Aim of the Concept:
- To provide feedback to the practice regarding proposed changes to be implemented in the practice
- Provide a mechanism for patients of the practice to suggest improvements to services that the practice does or may provide
- Provide feedback about existing processes within the practice.
Proposed Outcomes:
- Creating effective two-way communication between the practice and patients
- Having happier healthier patients due to active participation in the decision-making process regarding treatment options thus allowing consumers to better manage their own health.
